UPDATE 20th March: WORKSHOP CANCELLED
Due to Covid-19 developments, the most recent (just now) being that Auckland City Council has decided to close Libraries and swimming pools, we are calling off this weekend's photography workshop at Waitohi. (We expect WCC will follow suit and close Waitohi soon if not immediately.)
Sorry about this, but things have moved rapidly and there is simply too much risk involved to all to go ahead with the workshop. (This is not a postponement.)
March 23 update: Waitohi - Johnsonville Library is now closed until further notice due to Covid-19
Wellington documentary photographer and teacher John Williams, and Photospace Gallery owner, photographer, and curator of 'A walk down Johnsonville Road', James Gilberd, will be running a weekend workshop on 21st-2nd March. This will be a free workshop, but numbers will be limited.
If you are interested in doing the weekend workshop please email us via the form below. In the Comment section, please include some information about your interest and background in photography and why you would like to do this workshop.
Generally, the aim of the workshop is for each student to plan, photograph and edit a short series of photographs that work as a document of some facet of your local environment or community. We will be mainly focused on Johnsonville but you may wish to shoot additionally in another area.
